Corrado Croceri
Living in Corridonia, a small town in the Province of Macerata in the Region of the Marche, Teacher of Physical Education, graduate of the University of Urbino.
Corrado Croceri studied Judo at BU SEN in Milan, from 1968 to 1973 under instruction of Master Cesare BARIOLI.
Master Cesare BARIOLI, is recognised as eminent Judo expert and promoter of Judo "EDUCAZIONE" (Education), as well as having been Corrado Croceri’s trainer-master, was also journalist, creator and Director of various specialist magazines, author of many books. Cesare Barioli, undoubtedly represents a piece of the story of Italian Judo, he was also Champion in the sixties, was responsible for moulding athletes of both National and International worth, among his many initiatives he was also the founder of AISE (Italian Sport Education Association).
Corrado Croceri, then studied under Master Katsuyoshi TAKATA 8th Dan, Master Yoshinori TAKEUCHI (Kodokan Judo Institute) who, unfortunately, is not with us anymore. Moreover he took part in many national and International Stages and Seminars with Experts in Japanese Judo, (former World Champions), among which the names of Isao OKANO, Nobuyuki SATO, Hiroshi MINATOYA, Takafumi SHIGEOKA particularly stand out, he also promoted Training Camps with Master Hatsuyuki HAMADA (National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya) together with other masters in the world of International Judo.
Master Corrado Croceri, after having known Hiroshi KATANISHI 7th Dan, a graduate from the University of Tenri, Japan, besides the famous TRE TORRI International Judo Tournament, is putting important projects for Judo in Italy in the field of education and training into practice.
The initiative consists of an ever-growing Summer Camp, which is held every year in the town of Sarnano (MC) during July (for info, see: www.tretorri.org)
Corrado Croceri, who today is a 6th Dan Judo Master, founded the Associazione DOJO KENSHIRO ABBE - Gruppo Marche where he has been teaching since 1974, contributing to the educational training and growth of many Black Belts who have studied in the Corridonia Judo school. Some former students have become teachers as well as appreciated technicians in the field.
Corrado Croceri is recognised as a great lover and “Judo Promoter” in his own town and throughout Italy; a Master of renown, expert and profound connoisseur of Judo in its various interpretations, he concentrates his teaching on children from the age of four upwards as well as on all age ranges right up to expert Black Belt students.
His teaching work is appreciated on occasions of Seminars and Stages for young people who aspire to becoming Champions, and also in teaching method refresher courses for teachers, with particular attention paid to the study of "Kata" as well as to a correct practice of "Randori".
Corrado Croceri, in his job of spreading Judo, reaches the maximum heights in as much as he is general manager of the famous “TRE TORRI” International Tournament of Judo of the Adriatic, which today is one of the most important privately-organised tournaments in the world.
Corrado Croceri, several times Italian Champion, Athlete in the Italian National Squad during the seventies where he was only partially able to express his true worth, was an athlete within the ranks of the Gruppo Sportivo dei Carabinieri (Carabinieri Sports Group) in Rome where he did his compulsory national military service.
Corrado Croceri is even today deeply engaged in pursuing the objective of making Judo, in all its original values connected to harmonious cohabitation, known as research method of deeper understanding of high educational and moral concepts all leading to the betterment of the person from a human and spiritual perspective.
